Take one local choir (conducted by our Community Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, Roshan Reynolds) two hospitals, plus a sprinkling of Christmas jumpers.

Our 12 Days of Christmas video is a fun, but informative way of reminding local communities of the importance not to attend A&E unless it’s an emergency, helping reduce the pressures on our busy departments.
Roshan, who is pictured front row, third from the left in the red hat and jumper, is the conductor of a local choir called The Part Singers. They not only sang our remixed version of the 12 Days of Christmas, but they also dressed up and acted out each of the new lyrics.
Roshan, who has worked at CHFT for 16 years said: “I’ve been conducting The Part Singers for around five years. There used to just be eight of us meeting occasionally in each other’s living rooms, but we’ve expanded since Covid when people wanted to join us to make lockdown recordings. We’ve gone from strength to strength since and will soon be singing at our own Christmas concert.
“I find singing is the best way to happiness, no matter whether you’re in tune or not, the louder the better when it comes to Christmas carols. Everyone should have a go at the O Come All Ye Faithful descant (the high bit in the last verse), even if it’s just for comedy value.”
The Part Singers’ Christmas concert takes place on Saturday, 16th December at 5pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Huddersfield. If you would like to attend, tickets cost £5 and can be bought from The Chestnut Community Centre in Huddersfield, or on the door.
