On Monday 19th August, our car parking charges will increase for the first time since May 2018, bringing us in line with other trusts in West Yorkshire.

The increase will be between 50p and £1 per parking session, depending on how long you park in our car parks.

All the income we receive from car parking at Calderdale Royal Hospital, Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Acre Mills Outpatients is reinvested back into our hospital services.

We continue to offer free parking for some people in line with national guidance. Parking exemptions can be found on the Finding Us page of our website and include, but are not limited to:

  • Blue Badge holders
  • People who attend our outpatient clinics regularly to manage long-term conditions
  • Parents of children staying in hospital overnight.

The new charges from 19th August 2024 are as follows:

  • The first 30 minutes are free to allow drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Up to 2 hours: £3.50 (increase of 50p)
  • Between 2 and 4 hours: £5.50 (increase of 50p)
  • Between 4 and 6 hours: £7.00 (increase of £1)
  • More than 6 hours: £9.00 (increase of £1)

Further details for car parking and how to get to the hospital can be viewed on the Finding Us page of the website.
