Our Charity's Ray of Sunshine campaign was launched at the end of last year and aims to brighten the care and experience of babies, children, young people and their families at CHFT.
As part of the campaign, our Charity Team have been working with clinical colleagues to develop a Bravery Award Scheme. This award scheme is to be used as a coping mechanism for young patients, to give them something positive to focus on.
Stickers are given out to those young children having unpleasant medical procedures such as blood tests, MRI scans and operations. Once five stickers have been collected on their bravery card, they will receive a small gift.
The scheme does rely on fundraising and donations. For more information see the Ray of Sunshine pages on the charity's website.
