We’re extremely proud that our Relatives’ Line team has been Highly Commended in the Care and Compassion category at the finals of the NHS Parliamentary Awards.
Our Chief Nurse Information Officer, Carol Gregson, said: “The team had already won the regional heat last year, which was wonderful, but to have been recognised nationally for the service provided to relatives during a time when visiting has been so seriously affected is just amazing. There were 700 entries for the awards, so it was no easy feat getting to where we did.
“Thanks have to go to so many people who have helped along the way. From the staff – including Tara Brierley, pictured left at the awards, who manage and operate the phone line on a daily basis, and who are the ‘front door’ to CHFT supporting relatives who are desperate to receive updates on their loved ones, to staff from right across the Trust as well as our very own NHS Charity.
