Sovereign Healthcare double their donation for 2023

Huge thanks to our partners at Sovereign Healthcare for their annual cheque donation in support of our nursing and midwifery workforce. And as they’re celebrating themselves in their 150th year, they’ve very kindly doubled their donation to £15,000.

Sovereign donates to all West Yorkshire hospitals, where it also makes visits so people can sign-up to its healthcare plans.

Last year’s donation was put towards our inaugural Nursing Conference in May, where a range of speakers came from several different settings, showcasing the amazing work that has been done against the Nursing and Midwifery Time to Care Strategy.

Looking ahead to next year, the donation will go a long way in helping our CHFT Charity to support nursing colleagues and improve patient experience at CHFT.

Chief Nurse, Lindsay Rudge, pictured second from right, said: “We are very grateful for Sovereign’s continuing donations in support of our nursing workforce. It’s always a delight to welcome the team back each year, and I’d also like to share my congratulations with them in their 150th year."

Our Charity’s Communications and Marketing Assistant, Emily Overend, said: “Sovereign approached us as they wanted to expand their helping hand to other departments in the Trust.

“We showed them the Amazon Wishlist for Orthopaedic Outpatients, which includes toys and resources. They were then able to choose what they wanted to fund, which amounted to around £650 worth of toys. We’re extremely thankful for their amazing donation.”
