We work alongside the Rainbow Child Development Service in Elland, a multidisciplinary team which aims to support children with additional needs.

Prolonged Jaundice Appointments
We offer appointments for babies who are referred to us for prolonged jaundice.
Your midwife or health visitor will need to ring us to make the referral. For Halifax patients call 01422 224374 and for Huddersfield patients call 01484 343210
Appointments have to be booked within 2 weeks of us getting the referral – we do not have a specific prolonged jaundice clinic, so the appointment will be allocated into the most appropriate slot.
Once we have booked the appointment, we will ring you with the details.
Appointments with other departments
The Children’s Outpatient Clinic (especially at Acre Mill) is often the base for other departments to hold their appointments. These include:
- BCG vaccinations (midwives)
- Audiology
- Baby hearing clinic
- Orthopaedic clinic
We do not book / have any involvement with these clinics.
