Adult Speech and Language Therapy
The adult Speech & Language Therapy Team cover inpatient and outpatient SLT services at Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. The team provides evidence-based assessment and treatment for adults who experience difficulties with:
- Speech clarity
- Language
- Communication
- Eating, drink and swallowing
- Voice
The speech and language therapy team work directly with patients and in partnership with families, carers and other professionals/agencies to help reduce the impact of conditions such as Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and Head and Neck Cancer on the individual’s wellbeing and participation in daily life.
All our staff are registered and regulated by the ‘Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)’.
